The BT Contest was conceived by Alonso Calderon Delaeter, Founder and Creative Director of Bureau Tonalli, as a platform to explore the intersection of 3D and AI.

It is a space for experimentation where digital craftsmanship evolves beyond traditional boundaries through hybrid processes combining simulation, generative tools, and artistic direction.

Each edition follows a two-stage selection process: an internal vote to define a shortlist, followed by a public vote selecting three finalists and one winning project.

Selected works are designed to transcend the digital realm, becoming part of the Tonalli Objects Collection.

2ND EDITION - ESPACE DE JOUET

The second edition expanded the exploration toward play, movement, and narrative, introducing a more expressive and symbolic approach to digital objects. It shifted the focus from purely material studies to storytelling through form, while maintaining a strong connection to craftsmanship and physicality.
