BT Contest 1st Edition

The BT Contest was conceived by Alonso Calderon Delaeter, Founder and Creative Director of Bureau

Tonalli, as a platform to explore the intersection of 3D and AI.

It is a space for experimentation where digital craftsmanship evolves beyond traditional boundaries through

hybrid processes combining simulation, generative tools, and artistic direction.

Each edition follows a two-stage selection process: an internal vote to define a shortlist, followed by a public

vote selecting three finalists and one winning project.

Selected works are designed to transcend the digital realm, becoming part of the Tonalli Objects Collection.

1ST EDITION - ESPACE D'OBJET

The first edition introduced a new perspective on digital objects, focusing on form, materiality, and

composition as core elements of design.

It explored how digital creations can embody physical presence, encouraging the development of objects

that feel tangible, crafted, and grounded in reality.

Finalists

• 3D Printer

Parametric design exploring endless variations through 3D printing and simulation.

• Electrodes

Study of texture perception and compositional structure.

• Crabos

Functional object defined by a strong design expression.

Winner: Crabos
