BT Contest 1st Edition
1ST EDITION — ESPACE D'OBJET
The BT Contest was conceived by Alonso Calderon Delaeter, Founder and Creative Director of Bureau Tonalli, as a platform to explore the intersection of 3D design, AI, and contemporary craftsmanship.
Created as a space for experimentation, the contest encourages designers to challenge conventional creative processes through a combination of simulation, generative tools, and artistic direction.
The first edition, Espace d'Objet, focused on form, materiality, and composition as fundamental elements of design. Participants were invited to explore how digital creations could embody physical presence and evolve into objects that feel tangible, crafted, and grounded in reality.
Selected works become part of the Tonalli Objects Collection, extending their existence beyond the digital realm.
Winner: Crabos
Functional object defined by a strong design expression.
3D Printer
Parametric design exploring endless variations through 3D printing and simulation.
Electrodes
